RC CIRCUITS:
How does an electrical fluctuation happen and how do we build a fluctuating circuit?
How does an oscilloscope work and what is it used for?
What does "tuning a radio" mean? What is a filter? What does all of this have to do with the distorters of electric guitars?
In this experience we have been studying the charge/discharge processes of an RC circuit in the regime of short circuit, building the curve trends of the voltage at the ends of the capacitor in function of time and creating a method to determine the capacity of the capacitor. We have presented an article about the studying of the RC circuits in S.C. and an Excel file with a macro that allows, plugging in the voltage values in function of time to determine the best-fit relation for the characteristic curve, the value of the characteristic time tau, and the capacity of the capacitor knowing the resistance used.
