What is the ArchimedeProject?
The ArchimedeProject as we know it today, was born in the far 2012, thanks to the commitment of Professors Breda, Carraro and Zampieri, and their wish to continue the old Progetto Archimede, born many years ago here in our school. For the second year Professors Fabbro and Cardano joined the activity. The aim of this Project is to realise exiting experiences in the fields of Maths, Physics and Chemistry, trying to improve the theorical and practical abilities. Today we are 31 students from the first to the fifth class and we meet every Fridy afternoon, "fatti non foste a viver come bruti, ma per seguir virtute e canoscenza" ("you were non meant to live as beasts, but to follow virtue and knowledge"). The thing that sticks us together is the wish to experiment in the real world all those appearently pointless and boring notions learnt during the morning and to see their real applications. Among us five willing students stood out and decided to realise, together with the teachers, the Project's WebSite, the one you're reading right now. Here’s the list of the participants:
